Our Origin Story: Built from the Ground Up—Because Nothing Else Worked
Over two decades ago, I encountered a significant challenge in my landscaping design/build company: the absence of a comprehensive pricing software tailored to our industry's multifaceted needs.We required a solution capable of handling material take-offs, labor and miscellaneous costs, cost of goods sold, break-even analysis, and client proposals with multiple profit scenarios. Additionally, it needed to generate crew material requirements, labor budgets, and serve as a dependable job profit/loss analysis tool. Above all, the software had to be simple, fast, accurate, and easy to train staff on.When such a tool couldn't be found, I took the initiative to create it. Collaborating with a former Nortel software engineer who had joined our team as a production manager, we dedicated eight hours a day for months to develop a custom Excel-based system. This system was meticulously designed to accommodate the diverse services we offer—from soil preparation and carpentry to water features, lighting, and heavy machinery operations—each with its own specific pricing module.This bespoke software became the cornerstone of our operations. Over 20 years, we've successfully completed nearly 100s of projects, generating millions in revenue. Our commitment to excellence has been recognized through numerous industry accolades.
